2D: Animation: Motion Graphics: Movie Trailer: Titles

The last project for my After Effects class was to create a film trailer and make our own custom titling. All of the titling is hand animated and in a style that fits the memory erasing theme of the movie. This one took quite awhile since I had to edit clips of the movie into an entertaining trailer, and pay attention to subtle title themes.

Video: Production: Editing: Faces

A short Film by Me and Jonathan Na. We took two screen tests and dubbed a vocal track over it consisting of various events in our subject's lives. My subject was Jim Hornung, a local artist and friend, and Jonathan's subject was Karie Ko, one of his friends.

Video: Production: Editing: The Loss Of Family

Part 1

Part 2

This is a short documentary that me and my friend Jonathan Na Created for out Vis 180a class. My mom is the main character, and tells the story about when my grandfather was murdered by my cousin. This was one of the professor's favorite student produced videos, because of the professionalism and style.

Video: Production: Editing: Emergency Evacuation

A video Jonathan Na and I (Alex Hansen) made for our boss Raymond Wampler to show how to properly escape from a bus when the front door is blocked and there is a possibility of a fire. This project was produced relatively quickly, with a small budget, and with our fellow shuttle drivers (myself included) as the actors. Eventually, the video was shown at a safety convention and garnered a lot of attention from the show goers.

Video: Editing: Frontera Dreams (HD Available)

Part 1

Part 2

Project 1 for Vis 180B Frontera Dreams. Everyone in class was assigned a section of the Novel "Frontera Dreams" and we had to create a narrative in any style we wanted. Our group received Chapters 4, 5, and 6, and we decided to do a more classical style narrative. If you enjoyed this, try a youtube search for the projects made by the other groups.

Video: Editing: Motion Graphics: Chroma Key: Channel 14 News

This was the final project for my studio video class. I was responsible for editing, all of the motion graphics, and the chroma key effects. We didn't have the best lighting, but it still turned out pretty good. The plot is that the world continuously gets worse until zombies take over at the very end.

Programming: Electronics: Arduino: They're Here

Here is a link to my project blog for my Vis 147B (Electronics Programming for the Arts) class. This project uses an arduino board and a GPS transmitter to locate "spirits" on campus (and any other locations I want to program in).
