This was a project for an Adobe After Effects class I took. We had to make a 5 to 10 second long studio logo and animate it anyway we liked. I used 3D Studio Max to make the light rays for the first part, (since the After Effects I was using at the time didn't have the light rays plug-in) and simple After Effects animation for the rest. I ended up winning an award for the best logo in the class.
This is a ten second logo I created for my friend Matt Stubstad and his film company. The logo itself was designed by my friend Jesse Chappo, and I did the animation. Matt wanted something that evoked the memories of old film reels, so I decided to create the film count down out of his logo. To make this I used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.
I was asked to create these titles for my friend Matt Stubstad's student film Ten Years Time. The film is about a man who is wrongfully accused of a crime and sent to prison for ten years. This project was done in Photoshop and After Effects.
For my After Effects class we had to create a commercial for any product we wanted, but we could only use still images. I chose to do a commercial for Shadow of the Colossus, since I thought it was a cool game, and had an interesting art style. The entire video was created with still images and simple animations, masks, text, and a lens flare at the end for the Playstation logo.
This is an example of one of the five custom titles I created for the chemistry tutorial videos. Each one contains over 100 layers of animation (animated masks mainly) all tweaked by hand using Adobe After Effects.
The last project for my After Effects class was to create a film trailer and make our own custom titling. All of the titling is hand animated and in a style that fits the memory erasing theme of the movie. This one took quite awhile since I had to edit clips of the movie into an entertaining trailer, and pay attention to subtle title themes.
This was the final project for my studio video class. I was responsible for editing, all of the motion graphics, and the chroma key effects. We didn't have the best lighting, but it still turned out pretty good. The plot is that the world continuously gets worse until zombies take over at the very end.
