This was a project for an Adobe After Effects class I took. We had to make a 5 to 10 second long studio logo and animate it anyway we liked. I used 3D Studio Max to make the light rays for the first part, (since the After Effects I was using at the time didn't have the light rays plug-in) and simple After Effects animation for the rest. I ended up winning an award for the best logo in the class.
I had to work very closely with professor Haim Weizman to create these molecule animations for the chemistry tutorial videos, since I have never taken a chemistry class. To make this animation I used 3D Studio Max with the Mental Ray renderer.
In this video, I created an animation of a craig tube / centrifuge for the chemistry tutorial video: Micro Recrystallization. To make the animation, I used 3D Studio Max, and the Mental Ray renderer. Originally, I wanted to make the centrifuge fade out, but professor Weizman thought it would be cooler if it blew up.
